Position Purpose and Objectives :
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for supporting full cycle recruitment to attract, assess, and hire top talent across Cannabis NB. Reporting to and working closely with the HR Director, this role contributes to organizational growth by delivering a consistent, inclusive, and positive candidate experience aligned with Cannabis NB’s values and mandate.
In addition to being organized and analytical, the Recruitment Specialist brings strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members across the organization. This role also plays a key part in welcoming new team members and introducing them to Cannabis NB’s culture and voice. The Recruitment Specialist will have a strong acumen in full-cycle recruitment and candidate experience. The ideal candidate must be able to manage a high-volume workload and enjoying working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Effectively and efficiently manage high volume candidate pipelines keeping abreast of current trends and the labour market.
- Ensure compliance with hiring regulations.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruitment strategies, and define role requirements.
- Forecast hiring needs based on seasonal & operating demands, growth plans and workforce trends.
- Analyze recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, turnover trends, and recommend process improvements
Sourcing & Candidate Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using social media, professional networks and community partnerships.
- Screen applicants, schedule & conduct interviews
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume and hard to fill roles.
- Overlook and file all new hire paperwork
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Promote Cannabis NB as an employer through job postings, career events and outreach initiatives.
- Deliver a professional, inclusive, respectful and positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years recruitment experience with a focus on high volume recruitment
- Post-secondary education or certificate in Human Resources or a related field
- Fluent in both official languages (French and English) is preferred
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent customer service and the ability to communicate efficiently with people at all levels and diverse backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and able to operate with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of general HR policies and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities

Working Conditions
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Must be living in New Brunswick at time of employment
- Must have an office space & high-speed internet to work remotely from home
- Occasional travel to various locations throughout New Brunswick when needed (store visits, conferences, career fairs, etc.)
